WHO ARE WE ?
Currently, GATO FELIZ VENEZUELA have rescued more than 560 cats and 100 dogs from the streets. Some of them are in critical health conditions, either due to neglect or mistreatment. They depend on us to keep them safe, care for them, feed them and keep them healthy. All of us who are part of this work are especially sensitive to the problem of abandonment and mistreatment of companion animals.
Not only do we rescue, rehabilitate and responsibly adopt cats and dogs, but we also promote the education of society in values, love and appreciation for them, so that together we can continue to fight to eliminate, once and for all, animal abuse and neglect in the world.
MISSION
To provide solutions to the problem of abandoned animals, to facilitate the adoption of animals rescued and recovered from abandonment, and to carry out massive sterilization campaigns of dogs and cats as the only method to deal with the problem of stray overpopulation that has been statistically proven to be effective, efficient, ethical and cruelty-free.
VISION
To transform Gato Feliz into an organization of prestige, trustworthy and close to the community, making the best use of resources and providing abandoned pets with food, shelter and veterinary treatment in compliance with the Law of Responsible Pet Ownership of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To defend, protect and assist abandoned and/or mistreated animals so that they can have a dignified life and be placed in a loving home. Combating all forms of abandonment, mistreatment and suffering in dogs and cats with the help of our staff and volunteers of all ages.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To provide assistance to abused, injured or abandoned dogs and cats, rehabilitate street cats and dogs and find them homes with responsible owners.
To carry out free or low-cost sterilization campaigns.
Promote in society the culture of respect and protection of domestic and wild animals.
Educate in the responsible ownership of animals so that their life, integrity and dignity are respected.
Raise public awareness that sterilization and adoption are the real solutions to overpopulation and the suffering of animals on the streets.
Supporting local and state legislation that protects animals; pursuing justice so that society is aware that cruelty has repercussions.
We provide with free legal advice to citizens in cases of animal cruelty.
Support foundations and citizen initiatives that support our objectives.
¿ QUIENES SOMOS ?
GATO FELIZ MCBO.VZLA. nace en 2007 y legalmente registrada en 2017, es una fundación sin fines de lucro con sede en Maracaibo, Venezuela. Nuestra tarea es rescatar, albergar, rehabilitar y dar en adopción responsable a gatos y perros abandonados o en peligro.
Actualmente, hemos rescatado de las calles a más de 560 gatos y 100 perros. Algunos de ellos en situación critica de salud, bien sea por negligencia o maltrato. Ellos dependen de nosotros para mantenerse a salvo, cuidarlos, alimentarlos y mantenerlos sanos. Todas las personas que formamos parte de esta tarea estamos especialmente sensibilizados con el problema del abandono y el maltrato de los animales de compañía.
No solo rescatamos, rehabilitamos y damos en adopción responsable a gatos y perros, sino que también promovemos inculcar a la sociedad valores, amor y aprecio por ellos, y así juntos poder seguir luchando para eliminar, de una vez por todas, el maltrato y abandono animal en el mundo.
MISIÓN
Aportar soluciones al problema de los animales abandonados, facilitar la adopción de los animales rescatados y recuperados del abandono, y realizar campañas de esterilización masiva de perros y gatos como único método para tratar el problema de la superpoblación callejera que ha demostrado estadísticamente ser eficaz, eficiente, ético y libre de crueldad.

Transformar a Gato Feliz en una organización de prestigio, confiable y cercana a la comunidad, haciendo el mejor uso de los recursos y brindando a las mascotas abandonadas alimento, albergue y tratamiento veterinario en cumplimiento de la Ley de Tenencia Responsable de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.

OBJETIVO GENERAL
Defender, proteger y asistir a los animales abandonados y/o maltratados para que puedan tener una vida digna y ser colocados en un hogar con cariño. Combatiendo todas las formas de abandono, maltrato y sufrimiento en perros y gatos con la ayuda de nuestro personal y voluntarios de todas las edades.
OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS
Prestar asistencia a perros y gatos maltratados, heridos o abandonados, rehabilitar gatos y perros de la calle y encontrarles un hogar con dueños responsables.
Realizar campañas de esterilización gratuitas o de bajo coste.
Promover en la sociedad la cultura del respeto y la protección de los animales domésticos y silvestres.
Educar en la tenencia responsable de animales para que se respete la vida, la integridad y la dignidad de los mismos.
Concienciar a la población de que la esterilización y la adopción son las verdaderas soluciones a la superpoblación y al sufrimiento de los animales en las calles.
Apoyar la legislación local y estatal que protege a los animales; hacer justicia para que la sociedad sea consciente de que la crueldad tiene repercusiones.
Asesoramiento jurídico a los ciudadanos en casos de crueldad animal.
Apoyar a fundaciones e iniciativas ciudadanas que apoyen nuestros objetivos.
Todo el apoyo que podamos obtener de personas como tú es desesperadamente necesario para seguir cuidando y protegiendo a estos gatos y perros que antes estaban abandonados y ahora son felices.
